E pensare che fino a tre anni fa viaggiavo come tanti fanno ancora oggi con il modem a 56K.... oggi ho la ADSL 640 e non mi basta piu'.
Incredibile come ci si abitui in fretta alle cose. E' proprio vero il detto "piu' ne hai e piu' ne vuoi". Ho il PC acceso da questa mattina che scarica come un disperato, ma ho tutti i 640kbit occupati dai vari download... e non mi bastano dannazione... in IRC c'e' parecchia roba! Oggi ho guardato sul sito di fastweb se la mia zona e' gia coperta dal servizio in fibra, ma ancora niente purtroppo. Se penso che negli USA hanno la fibra ovunque... che nervoso!! E' anche vero che di questo passo (ne parlavo giusto ieri sera col buon Andrea) mi servira' anche un hard disk piu' grande. A ritmo di qualche GB di download al giorno... si fa presto a riempire un disco fisso. Fortuna che rimangono i cari vecchi CD per liberare un po' di spazio prezioso! Ma anche quelli iniziano a essere piccini come spazio. I DVD pero'.... faccio un giro di indagine...
Tu pensa che io scarico 3MB al giorno, col mio classico modem 56k.... E mi bastano eccome!! Scarica testi invece che film.

Posted by: Simone at August 28, 2003 5:46 PMIo avevo chiesto qualche info a riguardo l'anno scorso quando ero a Houston (abbiamo un problema...) e mi avevano detto delle cifre pari alla meta' di quello che paghiamo noi qui per avere un ADSL (e avevano MOLTO piu' che una ADSL li!). Ho poi anche una amica canadese che ha la fibra A CASA e paga qualcosa come 20 dollari al mese! Magari!!!
